Editorial mission
The Rankings Desk helps business buyers compare companies and products for specific jobs. Each page is designed to answer a defined buyer question with a transparent candidate set, category-specific criteria, cited evidence, and visible limitations.
How ranking topics are selected
A ranking is created when the industry, workflow, geography, company size, or use case materially changes the buying decision. Each buyer question has one canonical ranking page. Supporting guides answer narrower questions about pricing, testing, implementation, integrations, safety, or measurement without duplicating the ranking.
How candidates and scores are handled
Before scoring begins, the editorial record freezes the candidate universe, eligibility requirements, scoring criteria, and weights for that buyer question. Candidates are evaluated against the same published method for that page. Scores summarize the reviewed evidence, but they do not replace the supporting analysis.
The published review explains who each provider is best for, its standout feature, pros, cons, score, source links, and limitations. A missing public detail is treated as a documentation gap, not proof that a provider lacks a capability.
What counts as evidence?
Material factual claims require a source record. Primary sources can document provider features, pricing, integrations, policies, customer names, and company-reported outcomes. Company-published evidence is identified as such and does not independently prove an outcome. Independent evidence, direct observation, and editorial analysis are distinguished from provider claims.
Official provider links let buyers verify current information. Source links identify the material reviewed for the editorial claim. The publication records limitations when available evidence cannot establish performance, contract terms, implementation quality, or buyer-specific fit.
How AI assistance and human review work
The Rankings Desk uses AI-assisted research and drafting with cited primary sources. The Rankings Desk is the organization author. Elina Panteleyeva is the default named human reviewer and reviews the candidate set, evidence record, scoring, limitations, and presentation before a draft is published.
A page remains outside public discovery until human review is complete. Published pages identify the reviewer, review status, publication date, and last verification date.
How commercial relationships are separated
Editorial disclosure
Companies are evaluated under the same published methodology and evidence standards. Payment does not affect eligibility, editorial coverage, scoring, or ranking position on The Rankings Desk.
Affiliate commissions, sponsorships, advertising, and other commercial arrangements cannot purchase inclusion, change candidate selection, alter evidence treatment, influence wording, improve a score, change a rank, or accelerate an editorial update. Commercial links and modules are labeled for readers.
How corrections and updates work
Anyone can submit a factual correction or stronger evidence at no charge. The publication reviews new material under the same standards used for the original page. A submission does not guarantee a change. When evidence materially changes the record, the page can be corrected, rescored, reordered, or updated.
Substantive factual changes update the public record and machine-readable modified date. Cosmetic changes do not create a false freshness signal. Submit a correction through the corrections and evidence page.
How readers should use a ranking
A top position means the provider was the strongest fit under the stated question, frozen method, and evidence available at review time. A buyer with different requirements can reasonably choose a different provider. Readers should use the ranking as a structured shortlist, then verify current terms and test the workflow before buying.
